Nikki hails from Virginia,

a place she always wanted to leave and simultaneously, a place that helped shape her comedic voice and provided endless inspiration. Growing up as a mixed, Mexican-American kid in a performing arts high school, in a semi-blue suburb nestled amongst red pockets made for an interesting upbringing. Her creative urges and inklings led her to pursue a BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University and then move to New York City. After years of toiling in the fashion industry, in nearly every role imaginable (from a toxic startup to the wild world of vintage clothing), Nikki got back to her performance roots and love of comedy and started training in improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles. There, she honed her improv skills as well as uncovered a love for writing and performing original characters and sketch. Living in different cities and working in and with a variety of industries and people have provided her great fodder to mine as a writer and performer. She co-wrote and starred in her short film happy 4 u, which has been nominated for and won several awards in the film festival circuit. Stay tuned for it’s public debut! Meanwhile, you can catch her performing at UCBLA and other comedy theaters around Los Angeles. Nikki also puts her BFA skills to use and works as a freelance illustrator & graphic designer. When she’s not doing those things, her ideal state is watching tv at home with her husband and their two brother cats, Harry and Lloyd.
